Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor from Bahrain's Manama was born into the multicultural home of a family. The father of Jacqueline's Elroy Fernandez is from Sri Lanka (Sinhalese - Catholic)and her mother Kim is Malaysian. She has two elder brothers, and two younger ones. She was raised and born in Bahrain. Her parents had been to the country in the 1980s because of civil unrest that occurred in Sri Lanka. Following her education in Bahrain, she was awarded the Scholarship to study at the University of Sydney, where she earned a degree with a major in Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. To enhance her passion for the world of languages, cultures and languages, she joined the Berlitz schools of languages in which she could learn Spanish in addition to improving French and Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March 2006. She also was also crowned Miss Universe 2006 also. Following her 2006 Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone made her debut on television as host of a TV show on Sri Lankan Business called Lanka Business Report. Padukone's father is a professional badminton player Prakash Padukone. Padukone has been born in Copenhagen as well as Bangalore. When she was in her teens, Padukone competed in badminton championships at national levels. But, she resigned from the sport in order to make a profession as designer. Padukone is of Mangalorean origins and speaks Konkani as her primary language. Padukone Village is situated in Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi District of Karnataka located in India. Prakash Padukone is her father as well as a former badminton pro who has international acclaim. Her mother works as an agent for travel.
